Chatou

The city takes part in the Contest of the cities and flowered villages and has 1 flower in 2007. Chatou is a cultural city from its inheritance. Many associations were created there for the safeguard of the inheritance, inter alia Fournaise house. A center of the contemporary art the CNEAI (National centre of the Stamp and of the Printed art) is installed in the house Levanneur and a " house flottante" was built to accomodate artists and to allow them to work in a high historical place of the Article Chatou lodges also a historic center of the art, an academy...

The cinema of the city accomodates also stage performances and offers a room for various demonstrations and exposures.

The Notre-Dame church is a Romanesque church made of chalky stone dating from the 13th century and built on the Chatou first church.

The building housing the Town Hall was built in 1730 on the site of a old house.
