Mémorial de la Shoah

In the heart of the Marais, the Shoah Memorial is both a museum, a documentation center and a memorial whose purpose is to understand the past to illuminate the future.

Since 2005, he put all these into effect in order to contribute to the fight against all forms of racism and intolerance and strives to preserve and pass on the history of the Holocaust. Nearly 5000m2, it has the first European archives on the Holocaust and a museum tracing the history of Jews in France through a chronological and thematic paths. Add to this temporary exhibitions, conferences, meetings and projection throughout the year.

The Wall of Names, which are engraved the names of the 76,000 Jews deported from France between 1942 and 1944, and the crypt where were deposited the ashes of victims of Auschwitz and the Warsaw Ghetto, allow the public to gather.

The Shoah Memorial also organizes trips to Auschwitz and other places of memory as the Shoah Memorial in Drancy.

Opening hours

Opening times : every day except Saturday, 10am to 6pm. Thursday until 10pm. Closed on 1 January, 1 may, 14 July, 25 December and some Jewish holidays.

Prices

Free admission except for cultural events at the auditorium and some
educational activities.
Guided tour : free guided tour every Sunday at 3 pm. Guided tour in English on the second Sunday of every month.
