Formerly called the Grand Theatre, it's only after its rebuilding between 1827 and 1831 that it was given the name of "Opera". Ranked as a historical monument in 1905, the Fourvière's Roman Theatres Assocation is divided in four sites : the grand theatre, the Odeon, the Cybèle's sanctuary and the rests of a home-made district.
