Musée Antoine Brun

Antoine Brun museum opened its doors in July 2010 and has all wooden models made by Antoine Brun.


Born in 1882 in St. Consorce, Antoine Brun son of wealthy farmers had a passion for woodworking. He then reproduces the thumbnails on the world around him: he knows that when traveling to Lyon but also imagine it from reproduction postcards or well illustrated. A passion that leads to carve relief map of the city of Lyon and the Doge's Palace in Venice or buildings of Washington. At his death, the collection was dispersed. In the 70, 150 pieces are found in an antique shop and purchased by the community.


Community of Communes of Dells Lyonnais decided with the support of the Friends of Anthony Brown to build a museum around his models.
