Tour Eiffel
Originally named "tower 300 meters," the Eiffel Tower was built for the Universal Exhibition of Paris of 1889 by Gustave Eiffel. Located on the grounds of the Champ de Mars, this piece originally ephemeral, was kept after a long controversy for its dismantling.
