A first castle was built on the site in the Middle-Age. Though the castle of Monguichet as we know it today is dating from the 18th century. Armand Marquiset, the owner, gave his property to the association 'Petits Freres des Pauvres' (or Brotherhood of the poor) and serves as a holiday centre for resourceless elder people.

The castle of Maison-Blanche is an elegant Louis XIV style building has had many owners before becoming a hostel when is was sold in 1929.

Built in 1839, according to the plans of the architect Blondel diocesan, to replace the old parish church, the Saint-Germain church have had extensive work done in 1868 and 1876.

This beautiful property with half-timberings of Norman style, was built by the editor Rene Baschet at the end of the 19th century.
