Chevreuse

The town of Chevreuse is located at the limit of the district of The Essonne, in the valley of Chevreuse, on the edges of Yvette river, right before the junction with Rhodon, 28 km in the South-West of Paris.
The communal territory is included in the regional natural park of the high valley of Chevreuse, whose Chevreuse lodges the seat.

Chevreuse is the last commune of the valley included in the urban area of Paris to the West. The town centre, built in the bottom of the valley, is surmounted on its northern side by the Castel of Madeleine. Several hamlets are located at the neighbourhoods: Trottigny on the road of the Mesnil-Saint-Denis, Talou while going towards Rambouillet and Hautvilliers.

The Chateau de la Madeleine is a castle located in the area of Chevreuse in the district of Yvelines.
Very well preserved, the castle dominates the valley of Chevreuse.
Il belongs to the General Concil of Yvelines and shelters the head office of the Regional natural park of the high valley of Chevreuse.

A Regional Natural Park is a fragile rural territory, with a remarkable inheritance.

Nature and many inheritances are protected and developed, but housing and economy are not excluded of a sustainable development. The Park exhorts the development of respectful human activities of the environment.
