Le M.A.M.A.C.

Located in the heart of the city, next to the Place Garibaldi and in the extension of the Coulée Verte, the MAMAC offers a dive into the adventure of art from the 1950s to today.

The collection, with more than 1,300 works by 300 artists, offers a unique dialogue between European New Realism and the American expression of assemblage art and Pop Art.

The museum also displays key works of minimal art and arte povera.

Two major figures of 20th century art form the core of the collections: Yves Klein, with a permanent room that is unique in the world, made possible by the Yves Klein Archives, and Niki de Saint Phalle, which represents one of the most important collections of the artist in Europe following her donation in 2001.

The museum offers a regular programme of international exhibitions on the first floor of the MAMAC and in its contemporary gallery, alternating thematic exhibitions and monographs of major personalities of the art of the last sixty years.
