Le Palais Lascaris
Began in 1648, the Palais Lascaris remained the property of the Lascaris-Ventimiglia family until the French Revolution. After significant damage, it was bought by the City of Nice in 1942. Four years later, he was listed as a Historic Monument in 1946 and restored.
This noble palace is influenced by the Genoese Baroque style. Inside, the decor consists of frescoed ceilings depicting mythological subjects or stucco ornaments. A remarkable collection of ancient musical instruments, paintings and graphic art, sculptures and art of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries are presented furniture in the house.
The Palais Lascaris prepare each year a number of events related to the history of its collections.
