Tourism Poissy
Poissy is a French commune of the Yvelines departament, in the Île-de-France region. Poissy is a town with many geographical, environmental, historical, cultural and tourist attractions. From Saint Louis to modern times From the first centuries of our era, the inhabitants of this town on the banks of the Seine made their living from agriculture, hunting and fishing. The famous cattle market, created in the High Middle Ages in the area of the current Place de la République, was surrounded by many craftspeople: blacksmiths, cartwrights, saddlers and harness-makers. The market attracted large numbers of cattle brokers and butchers responsible for supplying the capital with meat.
