Ermitage Saint-Gerbold
The Saint-Gerbold hermitage was built in the 15th century and was dedicated to the bishop of Bayeux, who lived in the 7th century. The original chapel became an hermitage and had this purpose until the early 19th century when the last hermit left.
The Saint-Gerbold hermitage was listed as a French historical monument in 1995. It was restored in the early 2000‘s and has been open to public since 2006. There are outside the building many signs with information about the hermitage, the legend and the life of the hermits.
