Welcome to pirou

Pirou is a small seaside town offering 6 km of a fine sand beach where many activities can be enjoyed such as sailing, fishing, swimming in the salty water pool. The west coast of Cotentin is a shelter for dolphins.

The moor of Pirou offers great walks thanks to its numerous footpaths. A rich wildlife of about 800 different plants and many animals awaits to be discover.

The castle of Pirou is a fortress dating from the 12th century built on an small island located on an artificial lake. It bacale a farm in the 18th century then the building started to deteriorated until its listing as a historical monument in 1968 and the beginning of the restoration on the request of Bishop Marcel Lelégard (1925-1994).

The long and beautiful sandy beach offers pleasant and refreshing swims and allow activities such as :
