Tourism Menton, the garden city
Located in the extreme south-eastern France near the Italian border, Menton is both a city garden, a fishing town and a resort. Menton was awarded to 5 times, winning 1st prize in the flower of cities.
Its exceptional sunshine and almost subtropical climate favor the cultivation of orange trees, lemon trees, palms, mimosas and extraction of essential rare oils, its many gardens are created with talent and a real delight will make you dream.
The old town has to be seen with its beautiful old facades, you will find the atmosphere and charm of yesteryear. Stroll to Garavan (between the old city and the Italian border), the luxury villas are held in a row, built long ago by the leaders and the haute bourgeoisie who came on the Riviera for a good time.
Do not miss the famous Lemon Festival, which invests the city in 3 weeks between February and March. Throughout the walk of the sun beside the sea, the parade floats built and decorated with citrus in a different theme each year. The festival is in full swing to the rhythms of Brazilian groups, marching bands, folk groups or cheerleaders, complete with a parade a truly magical night ... one of the major events of the Cote d'Azur to see absolutely.
