Abbaye de Murbach

Abbey of Murbach was founded in 728 by Saint-Pirmin. In the XII century it became a true principality that has multiple cities, as Guebwiller and is one of the four largest of the Saint Empire Romain Germanique. Later, the principality became French and loses its status of an abbey to become a chapter of chanoines.

Today remain the bedside and the choir of the abbey. Visit the Tour de Guebwiller.
