Wine tasting and cellar touring
It is advisable to taste different wines from different grapes while visiting the cellars, especially the rarest one, the Klevener of Heiligenstein, it is indeed only produced in the five neighbouring towns. It is a 'Grand Blanc d'Alsace' has a golden leg, fruit driven bouquet and a round, soft and flower driven palate.
Wine tasting sessions are a great occasion for the wine makers to share their knowledge about their wine and to unveil their precious produce. Gastronomy is never far in Barr and numerous restaurants located in the region offer creative and affordable cuisines.
Finally, there are few historical monuments to visit such as castles and churches in Andlau.
