Bibliothèque Humaniste
Founded in 1452, the Humanist Library in Selestat is considered the oldest public library in Alsace.
Registered with the Memory of the World UNESCO, it has a collection of old books which attracts researchers from all over Europe and the world.
Since 1889, the library is located in the former Corn Exchange's historic city center.

Monday, Wednesday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00 (closed on Tuesdays)
Saturday from 9:00 to 12:00
In July and August and four weekends of Advent: + the same hours on Saturday and Sunday from 14:00 to 17:00
Guided tours for groups by appointment.
