A day to discover Bordeaux
Start the day with a guided tour of Bordeaux organized daily by the Office of Tourism (10am to 12noon).
Guided tour of the Vineyard of Blayes/Bourg, every Monday afternoon from the 1st of April until the 15th of November. And every Monday, the Office of Tourism offers a day out in one of the most famous vineyard in the world, the Saint Emilion.
Come to Saint-Emilion, the heritage road from May to October.

Tourism in the old city of Bordeaux
Stroll around the old Bordeaux: from the Saint-Pierre quarter to the Saint-Croix quarter, you will see several squares located among buildings dating from the 18th and 19th centuries.
Saint-Michel quarter, a former religious quarter, is loomed over by its gothic bell tower and the Saint-Eulalie quarter and their many convents that remind the prosperity of the city in the middle-ages. The Office of tourism organizes a guided tour of the Bell tower and the Porte Cailhau from the 1st of June to the 30th of September, every day from 2pm to 7pm.
In the afternoon, a guided tour of the vineya'rd Entre-deux-Mers', every Tuesdays for the 1st of April to the 15th of November.
Every Tuesday from May to October, the Office of tourism organizes a discovery tour of Bordeaux and its vineyards.

The town hall district
Guided tour of the Saint-André cathedral that is listed as world heritage by UNESCO and the Rohan Palace which houses the actual Town Hall (open to public every Wednesday at 2.30 pm).
Do not forget to visit the Fine art Museum located inside the Rohan Palace. In the afternoon a guided tour of the Saint-Emilion vineyard taking place every Wednesdays from the 1st of April to the 15th of November or the Wed and Sat from the 16th of Nov to the 31 of March.
Every Wednesday, nine prestigious Grands Crus listed and distinguished the Bordeaux ranking dating from 1855 open their doors.

The Grands-Hommes quarter
Go for shopping in the 'Triangle' which is demarcated by the Cours de l'Intendance, the Allée de Tourny and the Cours Georges Clémenceau. Saint-Catherine streets and Porte Dijeaux are the main shopping streets in Bordeaux.
Visit the Theatre of Bordeaux, located on 'Place de la Comédie', built by Victor Louis between 1773 and 1780.
The afternoon visit of the Medoc vineyard (every Thursdays for the 1st of April to the 15th of November)
End up the day with a wine and cheese tasting session organized every Thursdays by the Office of Tourism (or the Thursdays and Saturdays from the 15th of July to the 15 of August).
Every Thursdays, it is possible to go for a day in the magnificent lands of Pessac-Leonan, the historical bordelese vineyard birth place (Visit Graves and Montesquieu organized by the Office of Tourism from the 4th of May to the 26th of October).

The jardin public quarter
Visit the 'Jardin Public' or the public garden in English, and its botanical garden and Natural history museum.
Also, discover the Labottière Hotel (bookings only) and the Gallien Palace. Burdigala the only vestige dating from roman time (Guided tour organized by the office of tourism from the 1st of June to the 30th of September).
Every Fridays afternoon for the 1st of April and the 15th of November visits of the vineyards of Graves and Sauterne. Every Fridays, is a discovery day of three prestigious vineyards of Medoc getting together to share their passion for wine with you.

The saint-seurin district
Visit of the Saint-Seurin basilica, its historical and archeological crypts, 400 m2 of archeological searches in an ancient Gallo-Roman necropolis. Open everyday from the 1st of June to the 30th of September.
Visit of the Medoc vineyard in the afternoon. Every Saturdays from the 1st of April to the 15th of November or Wednesdays and Saturdays from the 16th of November to the 31st of March.

The chartrons district
Discover the Chartrons, former wine merchant district in the 18th century, and the Garonne waterfront with its old warehouses housing restaurants and shops. Visit the Modern Arts Museum (CAPC), wich used to be a colonial produce warehouse in the 19th century. On first Sundays of each month, bicycle rides through the town. Don't miss the Sunday's Colbert market with oyster tasting! Participate to the numerous visits and boat rides organised by the Tourism Office to discover the city harbour "Port de la Lune" and the Garonne river. In the afternoon, tour in the SAINT EMILION vineyards every Sunday from April 1st to November 15th. Every Sunday, one day rambling among the Entre-Deux-Mers vineyards with a story-teller : "WALK ON THE HILLS ALONG THE GARONNE" visit organised from May to October.
