Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen


The collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in Rouen have increased thanks to regular donations, such as Francois Depeaux's donation in 1909 (works of art by Impressionist' painter). The public can rediscover the works of great artists from the region: Poussin, Gericault. Napoleon, in 1803, sent many works by Rubens and Veronese seized during his conquests.

Purchases and gifts of works of art by Clouet, Van Dyck, Ingres, Moreau complete the collection. With a rich collection of drawings, the Museum of Fine Arts in Rouen has an international reputation by lending his many works of graphic art department of cultural foreign institutions. Baderou donation, consisting of 5,000 designs contributed to the fund.
