Musée Départementale Gap

The departmental museum is the only public museum in the Hautes-Alpes to be awarded the Musée de France label.

Ideally located near the old town of Gap, the bus and train stations, in the heart of the Pépinière park and at the crossroads of the roads to Aix and Nice, Grenoble, Valence and Briançon-Turin, the place is full of initiatives conducive to cultural crossings.

It invites sharing and intergenerational dialogue.

The visitor's route is regularly renewed, mixing eras and creations, heritage from here and elsewhere, thematic and plural permanent collections, deposits from the Louvre, selected works from the State and the Regional Contemporary Art Fund.

The ephemeral and the intangible rub shoulders with temporary and permanent proposals.
