Domaine de Charance

The Domaine de Charence, located 1000 metres high on the heights of Gap, offers to all visitors, a real breath of fresh air. In its English style garden of 220 hectares, lays a beautiful eighteenth century building known as the «Château des évêques ». One thousand plants are listed in its garden, including a unique collection of old roses. As well as Four terraced gardens below the castle, some watery areas, a lake, a walks path lay out within the park and also a forest. All this land settlement will attract many visitors. Le domaine de Charance holds the title of « Remarkable Garden » since 2005. Every year, events are held for the public in order to present its role as the curator of the botanical heritage of the region.
