Tourism Rochefort-du-Gard
Rochefort-du-Gard is located in the Gard department in the Midi-Pyrénées, Languedoc-Roussillon region. Nimes is the capital and Ales Le Vigan and are sub-prefectures. The department of Gard, culturally rich, is a meeting point between Provence and Languedoc, the Cevennes and Camargue and borders the Mediterranean. It borders the departments of Bouches-du-Rhône, Ardèche, Vaucluse, Hérault, and Lozère. The highest point is Mount Aigoual.
Rochefort-du-Gard benefits from its proximity to Avignon, in trade, culture, tourism, and is part of the Greater Avignon urban community, but depends entirely on the Gard department at the administrative level.
