Young, sporty and dynamic, with its range of 1800 meters of sand, Hermanville-sur-Mer is a seaside resort strongly committed to the rich culture and a history major. Long walks on the dyke you will discover a wealth of civil architecture, including "The Bluette" design by the famous architect Hector Guimard.You can also admire the Church with its choir of 13th century and bell tower from 12th.
The beach known as Sword Beach was one of the high places of landing of June 6, 1944. The Wells Saint Pierre has also served to fuel the British troops at that time.You can explore the British cemetery and the many monuments present in the breccia: the Royal Navy on the place Felix Faure, honoring the missing sailors, that of the 3rd Infantry Division Columbia, on the place of Cuirassé Courbet, commemorating the first soldiers landed in Hermanville.
