Centre Juno Beach
The Juno Beach Centre is the only Canadian museum in Normandy. It is a place of education, culture and memory as a tribute to Canadian soldiers, in the Allied forces, during the Battle of Normandy, near the place of landing in June 1944. The beach and the center Juno Beach have been designated as a site of national importance by the Department of Canadian Heritage.
This museum was established at the initiative of a group of Canadian veterans. In a modern building located in the town of Courseulles-sur-Mer, it offers the visitor to discover the role played by Canada during the Second World War with a permanent exhibition of over 650 m².
The many faces of contemporary Canadian society are also presented to visitors.The Juno Beach Centre also offers a lot of temporary exhibitions in a room of 165 m² made for this purpose.Entertainment and a fun course are organized aimed at young audiences, ideal for a family visit. The welcoming is made by Canadian guides.
