Visit the city of Barr
Barr is a small and picturesque town located at the feet of mount Saint-Odile, with an altitude of 200 m at the border of St Ulrich Valley, situated on the Kirchberg and Altenberg hills, Barr owes its prosperity to its forest, vineyards and to the tourism industry.
Barr counts about 6,000 inhabitants and is the capital of the Bas-Rhin wines. Its vineyards are located near the Kirneck Valley. There is here the famous 'Grand Cru' Kirchberg.
The old city centre has been renovated and has now regained its former charming and ancient traits: pedestrian streets, half timbered houses, sculpted stony porches, yard and wooden archways.
Cobblestone streets, as well as lively small squares, foot paths through the vineyards and forests allow to appreciated a city in the countryside.

Discover Andlau
The city of Andlau is located in a magnificent vineyards and forest landscape.
Andlau has grown around the princely abbey founded in 880 by Richarde, the wife of Carolingian Charles le Gros. the town became the fief of the Andlau clan and now uses the family symbol as its arms.
The town is a wine producing place as well as being focused on gastronomy, big brands such as Kastelberg - Wiebelsberg - Moenchberg are made here. Andlau also has a remarkable architectural heritage: the 'Abbatiale Sainte Richarde', the Spesbourg Castle and Haut-Andlau Castle, numerous stone and half-timbered houses dating from the Renaissance.
The Romanesque sculpture is a major interest. although Andlau is a historical city it is also facing the future, indeed, the city has created near 700 jobs in different industries and services.

Discover Dambach-la-Ville
From the Saint-Sebastien Chapel, you will visit the city walls made of granite and the three towers, the old houses and their red tiles roofs located within the city walls and the vineyards.
You can do an historical tour of the city, take the little train and walk to the Frankstein 'Grand-Cru'.
First cited around the 11th century, Dambach-la-Ville became an episcopal fortified town in the 14th century. while walking through the streets, one can see the history of the city through the buildings: medieval half-timbered houses, Renaissance stone constructions, houses dating from the 17th century, large cellar representing the prosperity of the wine industry around the 18th century.
There used to be numerous wine related activities and businesses as well as other crafts industries in town such as winemaking, coopering, pottering, baking, forging, shopkeeping, wheel writhing and so on. The wine making town is also a business town as 10% of the wine produced here is for sale.

Discover Hohwald
The Hohwald is located at 600 and 1000 m high and 10km southern Mount Saint-Odile, sheltered from the northern wind and the fog, it enjoys an exceptional weather all year round.
