Discover the town of Grendelbruch
Grendelbruch history is closely linked to the Guirbaden castle history, a feudal fortress dating from the 11th century and located 3 km from the village. it was destroyed in the 17th century, although the living part of the fortress and the dungeon still remain.
In addition, there is a great view from the ruins on the surrounding forests, the plain of Alsace and the Bruche Valley.
Since the dawn of time, Grendelbruch lives according to its forests. From this perfect union a old tradition in forestry was born and the lumberjacks are still impressive.

Discover the Sauer Valley
On the 29th of December 1995, a joint local authority group of villages and towns from the Sauer Valley was born.
This local group of villages is located at the very north of the Alsace region, about 50 km from Strasbourg, near the German border (Palatinat region). The Sauer Valley is part of the Regional Natural Park of northern Vosges.

A day at Erstein
During the fifth day, you will explore Erstein. Known for its sweets, Erstein bordering the Canal du Rhône au Rhin.
Museum Würth France Erstein presents collections made by Reinhold Würth. You can admire paintings, sculptures and drawings. Works from different movements: neo-impressionism, expressionism, surrealism.
At the exit of the museum, stop at the Church of Saint-Martin d'Erstein, builded in the thirteenth century and candy Erstein, founded in 1893.
