Tourism La Couronne
The Crown is a village-oriented resort located on a stretch of Mediterranean coast called Blue Coast and part of the town of Martigues in the Bouches-du-Rhone. A semaphore and an automated lighthouse are located. The steeple of the church includes the brands of different tracers of rock involved in its construction. Indeed, the village is characterized by the tradition of "queyrouns, stonecutters who were working in two main career: the oldest was located at the Crown Cove Vella (on the divine to the geometric shape of sea). The most recent land located at the cove Verdon still occasionally used for the renovation of buildings constructed of stone Marseille La Couronne, eg the Old Charity. The village is served by the line of railway from the Blue Coast. Gare Crown-Carro limited to shelter travelers, who burned the station and was never rebuilt by the SNCF.
The village has several beaches:
- The main and largest, housed in a magnificent cove concave beach Verdon, named after a river there uncorked before it is covered almost in its entirety by a car.
- Is the secondary-called Old Crown, where it is possible to engage in scuba diving on the west side of its handle, more easily than on the beach Verdon surfréquentée and thus low visibility under diving.
- Finally, even farther east, the beaches of La Saulce and St. Croix.
