Saint Gilles, is situated in the department of the Gard and the region Languedoc-Roussillon.
Saint Gilles, Carry Camargue, city of Roman art, hyphen between Nîmes and Arles, the Languedoc and the Provence, to two steps of the Cévennes and Mediterranean, is separated only by the Small Rhône of the Provence and Camargue of which it divides the folklore and the customs where the bull is king.
Saint-Gilles is a city of Romanesque, place of pilgrimage on the way to Saint Jacques de Compostela and Saint Peter's in Rome.
