Musée de l'Ours des Cavernes
The Museum of the Cave Bear is located at Entremont-Le-Vieux. It is doing to its visitors a great jump in the past, for searching an extinct species of prehistoric times, the cave bear. The museum is made so that the lights and shadows, the sets in rock walls or the floor, reminiscent of a cave. Thus the visitor will feel to enter the lair of the cave bear.
Throughout the visit, it is possible to feel scientific speleologists, or paleontologists, and imagine conducting archaeological excavations. For that, all along the way, table manipulations can discover the cave bear, lifestyle and features. The approach of scientists that was used is explained to visitors. A 3D film is presented in order to revive the story and explain the scientific discoveries of this curious animal.
