Musée de la Figurine Historique
The Museum of Historic Figurines, located in Compiègne in the Oise department has its origins in 1901, where a collection of figurines was created and installed in the City Hall. Over the years, collections have been enriched by gifts offered from all around the world. Today the museum has a collection of 155,000 exhibits and figures, about 45,000.
Throughout the visit, it is a true story that unfolds before the eyes of the beholder. Large periods of the history of France and Europe are told through the 500m ² museum. The museum allows visitors to appreciate the diversity of figures, it is not their size, composition, or the same themes in their original authors. The reconstructions are very impressive and rich. Some are over 25 meters!
