Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption
The Cathedral of Notre Dame de l'Assomption Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and Ajaccio, situated in the city of Genoa, was inaugurated in 1593, it relates to the Diocese of Ajaccio.
Napoleon was baptized June 21, 1771. This cathedral is the subject of a classification as historical monuments since October 30, 1906.
Monumental Baroque cathedral, built in the late seventeenth century, attributed to the Italian architect Giacomo della Porta. It has a nave with only two bays. The master marble altar is the seventeenth century. The Chapel of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart has been decorated by Eugene Delacroix.
