Tourism in Pontoise
Pontoise is the historical capital of the French Vexin.
The city is located north of Paris, in the Oise department. Pontoise is a dynamic city, with a long history, and became famous thanks to painter Camille Pissaro whose paintings representing the city are displayed in many world famous museums.
The exposition park of Pontoise honours the art through many events all along the year.
The city obtained in 2006 the label "art and history city".Pontoise is a young and lively city thanks to its associations and its university.
