The Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is situated in Vaucluse, Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur. It is an major place of Provence.
Originally, the city was essentially intented for fishing. The city is crossed by several canals fed by the river the Sorgue. Along this canals, you can soak the Isle-sur-la-Sorgue's charm, with its old streets and its large paddle wheels, which fed numerous factories.
Every period has left an imprint in the city. Its historical heritage reflects the importance of the city in the Comtat Vaucluse (Venaissin), former Papal States. We find "la Tour d'Argent" or still the Notre-Dame collegiate church of the Angels in the Romanic style and inside the baroque. This town is renamed for these 300 antique dealers and itsnumerous art galleries today.
