Tourism Belgentier
Belgentier is a charming small village straddling the river Gapeau. It is surrounded by a cluster of hills planted with olive trees, pines and oaks that make it a pleasant green.
On reaching the village, you can not miss the mural fresq that covers the back of the church.
Pleasantly shaded and animated by some shops and cafes, it is the place where everything happens and where the village elders, seated and wearing cap discuss.
Strolling in Belgentier, you will discover beautiful narrow cobbled streets, connected by covered and vaulted passageways. The old houses with doors framed in carved stone show the character of this small village.
One senses here that people seek to beautify their village, the windows are generously flowery, colorful shutters and facades harmoniously ... the whole of the old village has really a lot of charm.
Around Belgentier, the hills protect and shelter the town from the cold winds of winter while preserving some freshness in the summer.
This is probably due to these green "windproof" as cherries and figs Belgentier carried the reputation of the town well beyond the borders remain, with olives, the main agricultural resources of the village.
