Vesoul

The small hill of La Motte is about 160 m high and is looming over the green plain of Durgeon. At the top there is a magnificent view on the plateau of Langres and the Jura mountains.

The old city centre has been well kept and displays charming historical settings. It is a beautiful site to discover with old houses such as the Hotel Tomassin and Maison Baressols and their facades dating from the 15th and 17th centuries.

This two-story museum was established in 1981 in the former Ursuline convent (17th century). 

This English garden, located in the center of the city, was created in 1862-1863. It was extended and modified in 1885 and 1911.

The artificial lake of Vesoul-Vaivre is part of an important leisure centre. The sailing centre organizes classes and many regattas  during the summer season.
