Sare possesses a very important archeological heritagewith five prehistorical caves: Lezea, Urio Gaina, Urio Behera, Leze ttiki, Faardiko harria.

A footpath called 'Contrebandiers' with interactive kiosks link the Lezea cave to the Zugarramurdi cave in Navarre, and this is reminding us the smuggling past of the city of Sare once called 'the capital of contreband'.

The Megalithic Park presents several full scale recontructions of Dolmens, Cromlech and Tumulus. These reconstructions made possible by scientific researches are also an opportunity to recall a number of old rituals.
