Musée basque et de l'histoire de Bayonne
The « Musée basque et de l’histoire de Bayonne » is located in Bayonne. It is listed as a « Musée de France » since 2003. Since 2001, the permanent exhibition is organised on three level. The ethnographic section is located in the former Harbour warehouses.
The art and history sections are located on the floors of Dagourette’s house. The museum displays a sélection of 2000 objects scattered around 20 different rooms. The objects are displayed alone or in series in showcases or on Pedestals with informations written in French, Spanish and Basque or with informative documents.
