The Sorine mill

Around 1830, François Sorine, the son of a wine maker from Santenay decided to buil a wind mill in the middle of the vineyards.
In 1990, the commune decided to restore it as the Sorine mill was on a verge of collapsing.
In 1995, the mill was inaugurated and can now grind the grain.

The 'Canal du centre'

The Canal du centre was created by Emiland Gauthrey between 1783 and 1793 to create a link between the Mediterranean sean and the Atlantic Ocean.
It was the main vector in the local industries the mines in Blanzy-Montceau, the Schneider factories in the Creusot, the Guegnon forge.
