Our comprehension of tourism is not a superficial discovery of our territory. It is on the contrary to reveal you our village nestled in its Provencal land, but especially to invite you to explore besides the remarkable sites our culture, our art of living.

Since thousands of years, men lived on this land; the first relics go back up to the 4eme millennium before JC. How to justify such attractiveness  of this territory, such constancy in its occupation  since more than six thousand years, if it is not by beauty of follow, his special environment.

The Arcs were a privileged axis of passage between the sea and the inside of lands at all times. Click on the picture in order to discover a few remarkable circuits of our Provencal village.

This circuit will enable you to appreciate, in our communal forest, of the landscapes enchanters worked by Argens and Suits it (rivers which cross our territory).

You will see there a rich and odorous Mediterranean flora particularly adapted to a hot and dry climate. A voyage from some four to five millenia will lead you on the site megalithic of the Burrows. The vestiges of two oppida celto-Ligurians, which are not visited yet, were recently discovered.

he domain of Saint Roseline is a short 4 km from the village centre. The noble family who lived there significantly contributed to the history of Provence as did Saint Roseline herself, the daughter of Giraud II of Villeneuve.

The type of soil, the variety of the vines, and the micro-climate of the land have been studied and are chosen for their respective qualities.

The Provencal philosophy can best be experienced at the local market which is held every
Thursday morning at Place du General de Gaulle. The abundant produce and colorful flowers delight the senses. The stalls, arranged under the shade of century-old plane trees, offer a plentiful bounty of nature’s best fruits and vegetables, meats, fresh cheeses, and spices.

As the soul of the village, the Provencal market is THE local meeting place where tourists are a welcome addition to the hectic local hubbub. It is a place for shopping, of course, but also for keeping abreast of the latest village news, swapping stories, and stopping off for a cold drink or a strong shot of coffee.

There is no such thing as a quick run to the market! Ten minutes planned stretches into several pleasurable social hours with friends and neighbors. These may be just some of the reasons by the south of France is known for a slower, warmer, and friendlier pace of life.
