Musée des Beaux-arts de Pau

Located in a beautiful 1930's art deco style, the Museum of Fine Arts contains some great works of the Flemish schools, Italian, Spanish and French from the fifteenth to the twentieth century. Master piece such as Degas, El Greco, Rubens, Fantin-Latour, Marquet, Flandrin are exposed ...

The museum is presenting the famous Degas painting, a cotton office in New Orleans. The collections are exposed in many thematic clusters (Caravaggio, Orientalism, landscape of the Pyrenees). Temporary exhibitions can enhance and bring a new look by the total collections in an original theme. The museum has recently published a catalog of its collections.
