Le musée des Beaux-Arts

The musée des beaux-arts is located in place Stanislas, a famous square in Nancy. It is on UNESCO World Heritage list.

The museum was created in 1793. You can visit artistic works from all over Europe - from end of XIVth century to nowadays. A bookshop is located on the ground floor. On the basement-level, you will find vestiges of the city fortification walls - from XVth to XVIIth century. Visitors will be at the heart of the past history of the region.

In 1999, the museum has been extended. New rooms are part of the building : an auditorium, several rooms for temporary exhibitions, a graphic art room, a resource centre, a workshop for children. SInce 2011, the museum has been modernised with several disabled accesses.
