Musée d'Histoire et Espace Bartholdi
Settled in the heart of the citadel in the former barracks built in 1826 by general Haxo, the museum of belfort was created in 1968 thanks to the gifts of the "société belfortaine d'émulation" and of Pierre Boigeol, a textile manufacturer. The museum presents archaeological objects from the excavations in the caves of Cravanche, Gallo-Roman objects, works of art of the XXth.
L'espace Bartholdi recently fitted out in 6 rooms of the museum, a collection of engraving, sculpture and ancient pictures of the artist. L'espace Bartholdi proposes many entertainments such as concerts and workshops of modelling.
