Grotte des Grandes Canalettes
Discovered in 1951 by Dr. Motte, the cave of the Great Canalettes is 300 meters from the town of Villefranche de Confluent in the Pyrenees-Orientales.
In 1957, Henri Salvayre, hydrogeologist and specialist underworld discovered the place. It was after meeting with Edmond Delonca in 1978, they undertake immeasurable work.
In 1981, they start discovering the site in the company of Joseph Pujol and Henry Lozano. Together they will explore the development of the Great Canalettes to make visitable in the utmost respect of the underworld.
