Chateau du Bousquet

Beautiful medieval fortress, the castle of the Bousquet is located 5 km from Laguiole. Built in the fourteenth century, in basalt and granite, this building is remarkably furnished. Different owners have succeeded, the Roquefeuil family stay there until the early twentieth and add a number of buildings (grange-étable..). At the time of the revolution, the furniture is seized and sold, but the castle is not destroyed. For 60 years, the family Dijols has own the castle and ensures the visit. The castle is full of surprises. The authenticity of the Gothic cuisine, the vaulted cellars, the staircases and rooms will delight you. Classified as "historic monument", it undergoes now a major restoration campaign.
