Tourism Laguiole
Laguiole is located in the department of Aveyron and in the region of Midi-Pyrénée and is well-known for it's invention of "le couteau de Laguiole", a useful folding knife.
Dominated by a church of the sixteenth century, the village of Laguiole had an economy based on the work of sheppard.
The buildings of the village are made of local stones such as granite and basalt. They are quite ancient. Some remains are beautiful such as the gate and the windows of the hospice, dating from the fifteenth century and the portal class of the church, dating from the XVIth century.
The village of Laguiole is an ideal site for your hiking departures throughout the year and your desire for downhill skiing, cross country ski or snowshoe hiking.
