Villeneuve-sur-Lot (Occitan: Vilanuèva LTO) is a French commune, located in the department of Lot-et-Garonne and the Aquitaine region.
Founded in 1253 by Alphonse de Poitiers, the borders of Périgord and Guyenne, serving as a fulcrum to spread strongholds in Upper Agen, Villeneuve sur Lot was one of the largest and most powerful country houses of south-west.
