Tourism Saint Jean du Gard

Saint-Jean-du-Gard is situated in the department of the Gard and the region Languedoc-Roussillon. Installed to the foot of the binding of the Cévennes, Benedictine monks build previously, a priory and a church.

The town lives now largely developed tourism around the hike, swimming in the waters of the Gardon, exploitation of the Train to Vapor of the Cévennes and of a lot of other activities again.

The theater party is a festival proposing many representations in the town or on scene. It takes place each year to the surroundings of August 10. Museum of the Cevennes Valleys is a museum that presents the culture and the landscapes of the Cévennes. Among others, the towards to silk, the brown and the pélardons there are presented.
