In the Allier between the Loire Valley and Burgundy, just 2:30 in the south of Paris, Moulins area, also known as the Bourbon country is ideal for a holiday or weekend of relaxation, cultural discovery and outdoors hiking .
Founded in 990, the town of Moulins is named after the many mills located along the banks of the Allier. The city has experienced a significant essort between the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries and became the capital of the Duchy of Bourbonnais. It is now the prefecture of the Allier.
Heir of the glorious past of the city, the old mill offers to the tourists its narrow cobbled streets to discover its half-timbered houses, courtyards and mansions.
