Navarrenx: the capital of salmon fishing, major place for river water sports and mountainbiking. Also it is a stop over on Saint James's Way.

Sauveterre-de-Béarn: several vestiges show the lifestyle of the Princes of Bearn and the pilgrims on the way to Saint James.

Salies-de-Bearn: renowned for its spa and its congress centre as well as for the beautiful mansions dating from the 17th and 18th centuries such as the 'Hotel du Parc' now housing the casino.

Orthez: former capital of Bearn region with an exceptional historical heritage and a stop over on the Saint-James's way since the 11th century.

• The Vezelay path or Limousine path between Sault de Navailles, stops at Orthez (Hotel de la lune) then goes to Sauveterre in Guinarthe.
• The Puy en Velay or Cluny path goes into Sauvelade then Navarrenx then Charre.
• The Tours path or Paris path on the Bearn des Gaves between the Sorde Abbey and Arancou.
