Stop in Clamecy
Located in the wooded valley of the Yonne, Clamecy is a pretty little town which lies at the confluence of the Yonne and Beuvron, and next to the Canal du Nivernais. This has made ??the city an important center for the transportation of wood from the 16th-19th centuries, when the wood was transported along the River Yonne in the floating downstream.
Stroll through the old town of Clamecy, with some very pretty medieval houses to see, often in timbered. It is a pleasure to explore the narrow pedestrian streets and exploring the impressive buildings at every turn.

- The Maison du Tisserand is a particularly interesting medieval building
- The Collégiale Saint-Martin with a Gothic tower built in the early 16th century and with some fine stone carvings, some gargoyles and an imposing gateway

Stop in Mailly-le-Chateau
Built in the sixteenth century, the bridge over the Yonne at Mailly-le-Chateau is one of the oldest in the region. It has a small votive chapel dedicated to Saint Nicolas, patron saint of sailors and floats.

Stop in Vermenton
The village developed centuries ago through the surrounding vineyards and transportation of wood along the river.
For swimming, a sandy beach is located along the river, ideal for all ages because of its slow vertical drop and a playground just behind.
