Saubusse

Saubusse is an old and picturesque village made of stone located by the banks of River Adour and used to be a former river harbour. Everyday, the tourist boat named La Hire comes to Saubusse.

Few kilometers away from the village there is a hot spring (43 C degrees) called 'La Rouillere', it is a thermal spa that host numerous spa participants each year.

See the church dating from the 13th century, the Eugenie Desjobert bridge and the 'Pierre Longue' or the ancient Roman vestiges.

 The church is dating, in part, from the 13th century, its bell tower was fortified.

Discover the charm of the Barthes natural environment as well as its wildlife. Take the towpaths on the river and the 10km long of the 'Boucle thermale' or get in shape on the sports tracks in the pine forest.

The alluvial plains are listed as internationally important as they are a real santuary for many birds. Also discover the Barthes poneys, a breed between African and pyrenee horses that happened during the arab invasion.

The hot springs of La Rouillere, ever famous, gave the village the opportunity to become a spa resort since the 19th century.

Today, the spa, located 4 km away from the village, uses the Raja spring (39 C degrees) the exceptional properties are renowned for all sort of treatments (veins and rheumatism).

A welcoming and bucolique place although located nearby major tourist places and has modern equipments. Indeed, the owner made the place very modern and attractive, thanks to the brand new equipments. the spa is open nine months out of twelve.
